I have chosen the title of The Good Journey for the design which I have made to solve the problem which I always face while I am on the bus, which is the Bad Smell.

The initial idea which I was thinking about was to use air fresheners, which would have a natural scent, because I wanted my design to be popular with the majority of passengers.

My search was aimed at finding different odours and assessing their influence on people’s mood and start thinking about how to use these odours in my design. I then decided to combine three different elements for my design which are smell, the fan idea and bus maps.

Steps of my design

· I drew the map of Burnt Oak which is the area in which I live and then I added the transparent logo to the design.

· I designed a portrait of fruit and flowers and printed them separately as I made the brooches.

· Then I had an idea, which was to combine the drawings of fruits and flowers to the fan design in order to make it a one-piece design. After I printed, cut and assembled design parts, the fan was ready to use.

· I am happy with my final design and I think it is incredibly useful. I will always take my Scented Fan with me to use on any bus journey and hopefully it will make the journey a much more pleasant and enjoyable experience.
